Billington Lab members Jiaxuan (Flora) Xu, Andrea Green, Dr. Sneha Jain, and Prof. Sarah Billington, along with collaborator Dr. Deland Chan from the Chinatown Community Development Center, published a review paper in Building and Environment examining how sustainable housing retrofits impact resident wellbeing. The review focuses on literature reporting wellbeing findings that include human-subjects experiments. Their findings underscore the need for more resident-centered approaches that extend beyond energy metrics to include social, psychological, and financial dimensions of wellbeing.
