Flora Presents at National Sustainability Society Conference 2026
Flora attended the Third Annual National Sustainability Society (NSS) Conference at Colorado State University’s Spur Campus in Denver. NSS brings together researchers, practitioners, NGOs, and professionals across the public and private sectors to advance interdisciplinary sustainability research and practice. This year’s conference centered on the theme, Courage, Credibility, and Collective Action in Sustainability.
Flora presented her work, Noticing Nature in the Everyday City: From Understanding Nature Identity to Designing for Nature Experience in Urban Environments, in the session Public Health and Sustainability: Protecting Nature and Ourselves. Her presentation explored how people perceive and develop relationships with nature in everyday urban environments, and how these insights can inform healthier and more nature-connected cities.
She joined a panel examining intersections among environmental conditions, public health, policy, and human experience. With speakers and audience members from diverse disciplines and sectors, the conferemce offered an inspiring exchange of ideas on innovative, human-centered approaches to sustainability, health, and well-being
